We recently had a huge plant grow in our yard that looked like this Cow Parsley from the first link. Turns out it was a cousin on this plant: Deadly Hemlock!! Extremely poisonous! Needless to say, we left it alone!

The International Booker Prize Winner was announced on Wednesday. At Night All Blood Is Black won. Here is a good video reaction: https://youtu.be/ikzWXW5d8KU . Although this book sounds amazing, I don’t know if I can handle reading it as it’s said to be extremely violent.
I’ve been thinking again about daily uniforms. This was an interesting look at a few people who have been wearing one for the last 10 years or more.

When we first moved into our house I bought some vintage wallpaper and intended to paper a few statement walls. 5 years later, I haven’t done the work but think about it often. These bold patterned wallpaper are a good inspiration.
I love the idea of using fabric that would otherwise end up in landfill. These look so cool!

I didn’t know anything about photographer Brian Griffin before seeing this photo essay announcing his autobiography. But let’s face it, I’m really only interested in the Douglas Adams portrait.

I’d be down to house hunt in Santa Fe but this article is shows how an influx of new home owners has been effecting the housing crisis, and also how the pandemic has effected the crisis. I’ve been extremely interested in affordable housing alternatives in recent years.

I miss New Orleans every day. It’s crazy to think it’s ben 2 years since my last visit. This was a really cool look at how they are dealing with the pandemic for Mardi Gras. I think I would like this better than the parades. I would loooove to go see it, but you know….

I really loved how much these photos of seafarers looked like sci fi. It’s amazing to think that some people have been stuck on the sea for 18 months.
I want to try some of these mocktails! I really miss cocktails but they are never as satisfying to me when I drink at home.
Speaking of making things, I used this simple peanut butter cookie recipe the other day and it was very good! So simple and vegan! My two requirements for recipes. I used up the last of my (5+ year old) almond butter as well as a peanut butter we tried and weren’t thrilled with. I ran out of vanilla extract, so used hazelnut (10+ years old) and of course, added white chocolate chunks (bc I think all cookies should have white chocolate). Speaking of which, give me all your plastic free vegan white chocolate recs.
This was an interesting look at rewatching Firefly and Serenity. I have watched them many times over the years, as they are some of my favorite TV.
I’ve always dreamed of having some sort of building made most from old reclaimed windows. Tis one is stunning.
